My grandma (dads mum) died last week so I had to go down to the south island for the funeral. It was a great trip (can you say that?), grandma was an amazing lady and has left an awesome legacy of 14 children, 52 grandchildren and god knows how many great grand children and great great grandchildren. All 14 kids were at the funeral along with most of the grandchildren, the weather was amazing, the beach just along the road and the mood was celebratory, she lived a full and happy 99 years.

Morning swim at Tata beach which is so beautiful, we could see the bottom even out deep, way over our heads.

Most of these beauties went in my mouth, but I managed to save some for the salad.

Cool horse sculpture at Nelson airport, a 20 hand clydesdale made out of used horse shoes.
