shoe per diem sept 17, 2010 – afternoon tea and green

In an empty tube carriage noone can hear you scream. And noone can see you take shoe per diem snaps in strange positions either. For the latter I’m grateful, for the former I suppose, touch wood, not.

Same fabric for the seat covers as in the commuter train, and yellow details. Which I’m sure some cleverbrains had thought of when designing, as it is the same colour combination as the Swedish flag.

Today I thought I’d treat myself to yet another German-shoe-sales-shoes inauguration – along with my quirky happy Moomin dress – enter a pair of olive green El N Tesela. So love this sober autumnal hue. The outfit in theory could quite be the outfit that conquer the world, just that perky it is.

I do believe that all your crossed fingers and toes and sending of good vibes regarding the red boots incident of yesterday did the trick. The shop had another pair in same fantastic red colour and size (insert big sigh of relief). They fitted well in shop and at home, now hopes for no nasty zipper surprises to come come real winter wear-time.

After the red boots success we did go celebrate with one of my favourite afternoon tea experiences in Stockholm – at classic café Vetekatten (The Wheat Cat). It was de-lovely and we could even sit outdoors. Just THE way to kick off the weekend!

A weekend that will consist of a whole lot of sleeping and shuffle around house in old or possibly heart new slippers. No fancy schmancy shoes to be seen for a few days I’m sure. After what seems like a looong week I am so looking forward to it…

Happy weekend all!
