shoe per diem august 27, 2010, originally uploaded by piaktw.

Kicked the weekend off with having bagel lunch (very good) with friend (with a little more bling on feet than I, those sandals looked very cute on her). We then tried out a new place for cupcakes for dessert (quite disappointing that was unfortunately).

Finished off our date with some shoe browsing – despite being so lucky at the German shoe sales I am still wishing for another pair of El Naturalista Iggdrasil swirl Oxfords for proper autumn walk-a-lot, but I’m dreaming of red or green and not the boring dark brown or black I’ve only seen in shops this season so far – and then hey presto, a couple of nice finds at the last summer sales.

All and all a pretty pleasing way to start the very last summer weekend I’d say. Gosh, by this time next week we’ll have said goodbye summer, hallo autumn already. Sighworthy is the fact that despite sunshine you could feel a distinct chill in the air today…

Even if the red shoes (El Naturalista Tesela double strap in Tibet red) of course perked they day up quite a bit. So here’s to more red shoes to the autumn people!

I love this pic. It almost looks like you’re floating, your feet dangling below!

There was a chill in the air here too šŸ˜¦ Although next week is supposed to be quite warm. I’m hoping to stretch summer out as long as possible. Do you think if I keep wearing jandals it’ll stay warm longer?

Happy happy happy haapyyyyyy meeee! I’ve refused to wear a jacket when leaving the house for the last week because of you ladies. You say autumn is coming, so that = spring over here. So that is what it will be damnit. But it really is starting to be springier. Flowers and leaves and stuff. Yaye!

S & P, I suppose it’s only fair that you get some warm weather, even if it means Pia & I have to relinquish ours.

I’m on a mad search for boots much like yours Stacey. Oh if only we were all the same shoe size – we could have a sisterhood of the traveling shoes!

How awesome would that be?? Swap for the seasons, oh man that would be wicked.

I got my boots from here, http://www.overlandfootwear.co.nz/Womens_Shop_31.aspx?CategoryId=11

I see they ship overseas, and are coming to the end of the season, so are on sale. Win win and win!

Otherwise the designer is isabella anselmi if that helps šŸ™‚

And yes…it would be so wicked cool to swap shoes for the seasons! Oh why, oh why can’t everyone just be one shoe size???

well, lucky lucky you then, V and S, buhu…;)

and the idea of sisterhood of the travelling shoes is just great!! šŸ™‚ i know someone who let’s a scarf travel around the world and documented in blog, that’s somehow much easier.
