shoe per diem august 15, 2010, originally uploaded by piaktw.

Today we took a drive around the late summer Swedish countryside (which is always a highly recommended thing if one happens to be in the Swedish hoods of the world) popping by some nice thrift stores, making bargains.

Home again I finally did the finishing touches to my little crochet summer project – the granny square cover for a boring footstool. Will only come out and be used when I can supervise the insiduous kitties and their evil claws. Still, I’m pleased with end result, colours and that it fits the stool so nicely, yeah my eye measuring is a fine feature!

As for today’s shoes, El Naturalista (surprise) applegreen cork oak wedges. Again.

i ♥ crochet!! that stoolcover is gorgeous. i can paint and draw…and be somewhat creative with objects…but alas, i do not have the craft gene…i have tried knitting numerous times (fail) and crochet looks way out of my league.

i dig the stealthness of your shoes today…sneaky hidding in the grass…

Amazing. Like emmakate, I’ve tried knitting and such and I just can’t get it. I’m totally in awe of your skills.

thanks, emmakate! oh me, i’m pretty rubbish when it comes to drawing and painting (if not furniture), but i can do this and that when it comes to crafting (good genes;) and i do love knitting and crocheting, therapeutical and relaxing that is. i’m a yarn addict and i’m proud of it:)

thanks, julie, i will have to remember that; omo!

thanks so much, megan! yes, i can knit and such, but i can’t run;)
