shoe per diem friday 13, 2010 – doing the malte walk

shoe per diem friday 13, 2010, originally uploaded by piaktw.

Today turned out to be an excellent day for a long walk at the nearby lake. Which has a reasonably newly built very pretty wooden walk path meandering just by the water. Here we stopped and enjoyed the fine view and ripple of waters before we continued walking to a proper place for Little Loaf to have a swim-ish in the hot weather.

On the way home we did have quite a Friday the 13th scare since someone very stupid had discarded a very large sausage in a bun in the grass – tell me a dog who doesn’t like a sausage in a bun and I’ll tell you a dog who’s lying – before we knew it the Loaf had almost swallowed it whole and was choking. It all happened so very quickly and luckily he managed to upchuck it himself. And then wanted to turn back for more.

But I’m sure the fact that he happily shared carrots with me without any choking incidents when we got back home made him realise how sensible a vegetarian diet is on so many levels. (Yeah right.)

Walking the dog (who looks like a loaf but really is called Malte) I did in one favourite pair (again) of El Naturalistas, the two-toned Iggdrasil swirl clogs.
